David Williamson - (Chair) & (Website Administrator)

I put myself forward, and agreed, to act as Chair of this Voluntary Group, from Inception, because it was my idea originally to set up a Group in the SESKU area and I find it easy to stand up in front of people and talk; I am also an IT Professional and Teacher, and I am good at solving problems and at creating and presenting presentations, and it is the Chair who is expected to make speeches and talk to the Group on a regular basis.

I am also a Type 2 Diabetic, and therefore understand the problems associated with being a Diabetic and due to my partner caring for me I also understand some of the problems she has of living with someone who is a Diabetic, me; it is due to the above that I would like to be able to help, and educate, others who are also living with Diabetes.

I have experience of running a Voluntary Group as I was the Treasurer of the Wakefield College Student Union for two years, and I also advised on the Wakefield College Governing Body, as the Student Voice; during this time I was actively involved in all major decisions, and all financial transactions; I only stepped down from these positions because I was moving on to university, to study IT, in a different city; I walked out of University with a Degree in Business Information Technology with First Class Honours.

The latter also explains why I am the Group's Website Administrator.

Paul Bradfield - (Secretary)

Details to come!

Halina King - (Treasurer)

I put myself forward, and agreed, to act as Treasurer of this Voluntary Group, from Inception, because I helped to set up this Group in the SESKU area; I am also an IT Professional, and I am good at coming up with good ideas and organising them, and it is the treasurer who is expected to keep a tight control of all expenses, no matter what events we are organising.

I can empathise with those who are living with Diabetes because my partner is a Type 2 Diabetic, and I understand the problems associated with being a Diabetic and caring for someone who is a Diabetic; I would also like to be able to help, and educate, others who are also living with Diabetes.

I have experience of running a Voluntary Group as I was the President of the Wakefield College Student Union for two years; I was also on the Wakefield College Governing Body, as the Student Voice; during this time I was actively involved in all major decisions, and all financial transactions; I only stepped down from these positions because I was moving on to university, to study IT, in a different city.
