The SESKU Diabetes UK Voluntary Group is a Diabetes UK voluntary group, which is connected to, supported and endorsed by, the charity Diabetes UK for people living with diabetes; this voluntary group has been set up to help support people in the SESKU ( South Elmsall, South Kirkby & Upton) and nearby surrounding areas, in Pontefract West Yorkshire.

Aims:
To provide support, companionship, education, help and information for people living with diabetes.
To promote awareness, and understanding, of diabetes and Diabetes UK to the public in general.
To share experiences of living with diabetes, which has been found to be beneficial to patients.
To raise funds to help people living with diabetes in the local area.
To raise funds to contribute towards the Diabetes UK Research fund.

We welcome anyone who is affected by diabetes, whether you have diabetes yourself, live with someone who has diabetes, have a family member or friend who has diabetes, or if you just want to learn more about diabetes.

The SESKU Diabetes UK Voluntary Group is run by an annually elected committee consisting of volunteers.
